On Friday 12 October (this Friday) we will be holding a non-uniform day.
We are asking the children to bring in £1 to go towards the Bishops’ Harvest Appeal which is raising money for two projects. Firstly, In Brazil Christian Aid is working with the Quilombola people to equip them with a factory that will enable them to achieve a better price for their harvest of Brazil Nuts and secondly, in Sierra Leone the KIK project is empowering children orphaned by the Ebola disease with farming and life skills. These are both amazing projects that we are delighted to support and the children have been learning about them as part of their worship.
We are also asking for contributions of food/hygiene items that will be shared amongst projects within our local area. These can be brought into school on Friday or brought with you to Church on Sunday if you are joining us for the Harvest service.
