Week 2

Stone Age VR Session

This week we had a real treat! This was our second VR session with Oliver and this time we were transported to the Stone Age.

Oliver told us about the theories surrounding the building of Stonehenge 5000 years ago and we saw some of those theories on the headset.

We looked at how they may have built Stonehenge and discussed the holes they dug to place the huge stones in.

We looked at what Stonehenge may have looked like in the Neolithic era of the Stone Age. The stones were enormous, it looked awesome!

After that we wrote a diary entry pretending we were one of the Stone Age men building Stonehenge.

Here we are in action!

English - Playscripts

The children have rehearsed their plays and used their playscripts well. We talked about projecting our voices, speaking clearly and using expression.

Everyone showed great team work and Miss Bryan was impressed with our performances.

To start of our science topic of rocks we thought about what we already know about rocks. We then went outside to see what things were made out of rock in the playground. We had some interesting thoughts about bricks!!

In PE we played a game of knee tag. This week we have been focussing on moving and dodging in tag rugby. To help us thinking about dodging we played a game of knee tag. We had lots of fun! Archie beat Miss Bryan every time!

Then we played some games practising passing forwards and backwards.
