Recently, we have been researching the impact of plastic on the environment and the problems with single-use plastic. The children have been inspired by the information and photographs they have seen and have decided to make a stand! We discussed the impact of red noses on the environment, which are used for a short time and thrown away, despite the fact that it will take hundreds of years for them to decompose - releasing toxic gases and waste in the process. For this reason, Year 6 unanimously voted to boycott the selling and buying of red noses. Instead, we will paint our noses red and donate money to Comic Releif without harming animals or the environment with unnecessary waste. We urge you to stand with us and consider the impact of your choices.
Look out for our painted noses on Friday and the children’s posters around school!
