Stay Safe Week
Thanks to Mrs Jacques we enjoyed several visitors into school this week.
On Monday Jackie came in to speak to us about bullying.
We had a really good discussion about bullying and Jackie’s message was clear -
BULLYING IS NOT OK.
We talked about who we can talk to if we experience bullying or know somebody who is experiencing it. Our list we made as a class:
brothers and sisters
staff in school
Teenagers that you know well
Aunties and uncles
SOMEBODY YOU KNOW AND TRUST.
We then thought about how you might feel if you were being bullied and wrote these feelings down inside the outline of a person.
We had a fire safety assembly on Thursday morning. the assembly was very interesting and we learnt some shocking facts about fires and the most common causes.
The fire officer said it was very important to wear helmets when out on bikes and it was quite shocking to see that around half of the children in KS2 said they do not wear a helmet when cycling.
Safer Internet Day
We had a morning of activities based around staying safe online. At the end of the morning we made pledges about something we were going to change to stay safe online.
