What a busy week we've had!
At the beginning of the this week, the children discovered who had been elected for the Pupil Voice Groups. Well done to those children. I am very excited to see all the exciting things that each Pupil Voice Group has planned for the year. A huge well done to all the candidates who ran for Pupil Voice Group, I felt really proud watching all the amazing manifesto presentations.
On Tuesday we had a talk in the hall on how to become 'Internet Legends'. The presenters from Google, who did the talk, were amazing and the children were able to interact, ask questions and used their given hand signs to answer questions. The session was all about internet safety and was really valuable. If you or your children would like more information about 'Internet Legends' then just google becoming internet legends and follow the link.
Wednesday was our class assembly and for those of you who came to watch, I'm sure you'll agree the children were brilliant. Especially as I only gave them one day to practise! The children are getting used to my last minute approach to things!
We had our Enrichment Afternoon on Wednesday where the children were able to participate in a chosen activity with children from other year groups. We had so much on offer, including coding, science experiments, lego masters, whittling, drama, pottery painting, cooking and loads more. The children came back buzzing with excitement and from a teachers point of view, it was lovely to spend time with a group of children with no objectives or data involved, just fun activities and a chance to enjoy chatting and learning new skills.
It's been a wonderful half term and I've really enjoyed getting to know my first Year 5 class! I hope you all have a fantastic half term holiday and thank you for all your continued support and hard work at home.
