This week, Year 6 have been writing, editing and improving. They are really enjoying our class read: Treason, which is about a young Tudor boy named William who becomes Prince Edward’s page. He moves from his family home to Westminster Palace in London. The children put their persuasive writing skills to the test to write a letter as William’s sister, Margery, begging him to return home and rescue her.

Tudor History Work

In history, we have been investigating what kind of King Henry VIII was. The children worked hard to independently research the infamous king and presented their findings on a poster.

Tudor Writing

Year 6 have done some amazing work this week using adventurous vocabulary and adverbials to create setting descriptions about Tudor London. They are really enjoying our Tudor book: Treason by Berlie Doherty and can't wait to find out what happens next.
