Outdoor learning day!
During our outdoor learning day the children had an excellent time making fairy potions!
They worked as a team, applied their learning and used their problem solving skills to accurately measure the liquids to create magical fairy potions!
Taking our maths outside again in the afternoon the children were challenged to measure different items to make Bluebell's 'Happiness Recipe'.
We had such a lovely day learning outside in the sunshine!
The children had a fantastic time last week making nature portraits on trees with Mrs Wilton, Mrs Mansell and Mrs Hudson.
Mrs Wilton said the children worked really hard and I'm sure you will agree the portraits look great!
How the wind blows!
As part of our science lessons we are looking at the seasonal changes and the weather. During our outdoor learning session Mrs Wilton helped us to explore how the wind blows. We enjoyed listening to the story of the Leaf Man and we used a compass to find out which direction the wind blew him!
We had a fabulous time investigating fractions with Mrs Wilton and Mrs Mansell in our outdoor learning session. We were able to develop our skills and attitudes (SKAT's) by using our environment and working as a team!
We worked as a team to complete challenges to develop our knowledge of capacity. Thank you Mrs Wilton and Mrs Mansell - we had lots of fun!
Developing our fine and gross motor skills in the snow!!
