Week 1

We have had a great first week back in Year 6! 

In Science, we have started a new unit about evolution and inheritance. For the first lesson, we learned about how camels are adapted to their environment.

In English, we have started our unit on Macbeth. The children are loving the story so far and it's only going to get more gruesome and dramatic! So far, they have drawn illustrations of the witches based on descriptions from the text, acted out a short drama as the witches, written a setting description of the battle on the Scottish heathland and written a letter from Macbeth to Lady Macbeth. They have done some excellent work so far!

In RE, we explored our ideas about God. We talked about where we get information about God from and discussed how a lot of our ideas about God are our personal beliefs and opinions. The children reflected on their beliefs and drew what they imagine God to look like.
