Week 3

What we've been up to this week...

Week Three has been another fun and busy week.

We have been continuing our multiplication skills in maths, moving from multiplying 2 digits by 1 digit without exchanging to multiplying 2 digits by 1 digit with exchanging. We have used lots of practical equipment for this as it's quite a tricky concept! The children have been working really hard.

We are continuing reading The Secret Seven and the story is getting really exciting! The children are on the edge of their seat each time we read. We have written a diary entry to explore the feelings of the character and also used the text to give evidence for our judgement of the characters. For example we know Peter is bossy because he shouts at the others and says he is the head of the society. We have also summarised the clues we know about the prisoner and make predictions. As part of our summarising lesson, the children crawled around to spy music whilst looking for clues. They thought this was hilarious and had a great time!

The children have been exploring the colour wheel in art, specifically how warm/cold colours compliment each other.

I can't believe we are half way through Spring 1 already!

Have a lovely weekend.
