What can I say?! We came in all ready for a fantastic week but our class bubble was shut down on Monday. That didn’t stop us! We were ready for this, we had been there before.
Our daily zoom meetings have been attended brilliantly; the amount of work that has been handed in has been brilliant too.
This week, in English we have been learning about fables. Reading the fable could have been boring, so we acted the story out in drama. We did read through the fable and then wrote a diary entry as one of the characters. Towards the end of the week, we had to write our own ending to the fable.
In Maths, we have been subtracting 3-digit numbers from 3-digit numbers. The calculations we did at the beginning of the week did not need exchanges. By the end of the week and after lots of input on our zoom meeting, we were doing the calculations that needed exchanges from tens to ones.
In science, we were still learning about nutrients and how they help our bodies. We also learned about the functions of the skeleton. We looked at the bones that protect our organs.
In PSHE, we learned about healthy lifestyles.
We really have been tested this week, but the children have produced an outstanding amount of work.
The teachers are proud of the effort from the pupils this week.
One more week to go in isolation.
Well done guys, let’s keep this going!
Have a good weekend.
