Week 4

RE

In our RE lesson we looked at some of the amazing things God has created.  We learnt about strange and wonderful creatures like the beautiful blue dragon, the spiky tenrec and the enormous coconut crab.  We also learnt interesting facts about God's creations.  Did you know a butterfly tastes with its feet? Or that a kangaroo can't walk backwards?

Phonics

In phonics this week we learnt 'c' in city and 'g' in giant.  We also played a new phonics game called 'quiz, quiz, trade.'

English

This week we unpacked a backpack.  We found a map, compass, torch, first aid kit and snacks and talked about why these items might be useful if we were going on a long walk or camping trip. Then we had a race to put up a tent.  It was lots of fun!
