Week 4
What a fabulous week!
We have thoroughly enjoyed science day this week whilst we focused on developing a growth mindset!
On Tuesday we took part in the marshmallow and spaghetti tower building challenge. We looked at using positive language to encourage and motivate ourselves and others in order to get better and succeed. We enjoyed researching our scientist Charlotte Armah who we learnt was a research scientist who studied human volunteers to find out if eating certain foods helped us to prevent us getting diseases. We linked this to Adrian Boswell's broccoli art, we made a collage and we created some awesome fact files.
We have enjoyed planning and writing our own explanations texts in English on the life cycle of a sunflower. In maths we have started work on fractions and have continued to observe and measure our bean plants.
What a cracking week!
