Week 4

English - Holes

This week, as well as working hard to complete their SATs assessments, Year 6 have been reading the last bit of Holes. We looked at how the author used speech to advance the action and add interest for the reader. Then, the children had a go at writing the next part of the story using speech to advance the action. They did a fantastic job!

Once we finished the story, we discussed the different themes of Holes and the children decided on which were the main themes and which theme was the most important.

SATs Celebration

Once the children had completed all their SATs, they enjoyed a treat day on Friday! They enjoyed watching Holes in the morning with some sweet treats and had golden time all afternoon. Well done to all the children for working so hard!
