Ho Ho Ho!
What a lovely week we have had!
Nurse Debbie from Blackburn Hospital has given us our own virtual tour of Blackburn Hospital to help us compare nursing today with nursing in the 1800's when Florence Nightingale and Edith Cavell worked as nurses. The children enjoyed looking at the ward and hearing how nurses keep the hospital clean today.
We took our English lessons outside to learn about giving and understanding 'commands'.
We started making our class Advent wreath and we have started learning more about the Christmas story in RE. We have enjoyed decorating our tree, doing lots of Christmas arts and crafts and of course PARTYTIME!!
The children were surprised to see one of Santa's reindeers, who took time out of his very busy schedule to come for a visit. We had lots of fun, and even got a turn standing in the sleigh!
