Week 6

This week, in Geography, we have been learning about the Valley of Rocks and analysing maps to identify physical and human features in the Valley of Rocks. The children used OS maps to help them to imagine what the Valley of Rocks is like. We then learned about different types of weathering and identified areas where they might occur in the Valley of Rocks.

We have been learning all about the circulatory system in Science this half term. The children have learned about blood and the heart. This week, they learned more about how blood travels around the body delivering oxygen and collecting waste products (such as carbon dioxide). The children worked in groups to create a living model of the circulatory system including red blood cells, the heart, the lungs, veins and arteries.
