This week was very exciting because we had Sophie and Gayle come in from the Civic in Oswaldtwistle to help us to create a play in a day! We worked over at church all day to put a performance of Macbeth together and performed it in the afternoon to our families. The children did an amazing job!
This term, we are learning about William Morris the Victorian artist who is famous for his intricate designs which have been used to make textiles and wallpaper.
The children evaluated and analysed some of his designs and then had a go at replicating his symmetrical patterns.
We also went out on a nature walk to find inspiration in the local area for our own William Morris inspired designs which we will continue to work on after half term!
