Week 6

RE

This week the children have been wondering further about God's creation.  We studied the buds on the tree branches and the patterns of veins on the underside of the leaves.  We lay on the ground looking up at the clouds and listened to the sounds of bird song and the wind.  

Phonics

This week we have been learning about the 'ie' as in chief and the 'ea' as in bread.  We played our phonics games of 'quiz, quiz, trade' and 'read, run, write' to help us remember these.

Maths

We have been counting in 2s and 5s this week.  We have counted the number of socks the boys and girls were wearing and doing our '2s conga'.  We also counted the number of fingers on the hands of our class mates to help us with counting in 5s.
