We have had another wonderful week in Reception. Our insect of the week was a dragonfly and the children enjoyed learning some facts about them to add to our sheet. We have been very busy plan and writing the first two sections of our instructions on how to plant a seed. We planted our own cress seeds and have been watering them every day. We were so excited to see that some have started to grow! We explored the parts of a plant and drew a flower from life, then labelled the parts - flower, stem, leaves and roots. We also thought about the different seasons and which clothes we might wear for them. In maths we have been thinking about subitising and using small groups we can see to work out the total.
