    🌐 Online Safety

At our school, keeping children safe online is extremely important to us. The internet can be a wonderful place to learn, play and keep in touch with others — but it is important to use it safely and responsibly.

We teach our pupils how to enjoy the online world while knowing how to stay safe, make good choices and ask for help when they need it.

πŸ‘§πŸ§’ Online Safety – Information for Children

Always be careful when you are using the internet.
The internet can help you learn new things and stay in touch with friends, but sometimes things online can make us feel worried, confused or upset.

Remember — you are never in trouble for telling an adult.

If something online doesn’t feel right, or if you are unsure about something you have seen or been sent, talk to your teacher or another trusted adult at school. We are always here to help you.

βœ… Tips for Staying Safe Online

Only talk to people you know in real life

Keep new online friends strictly online

Never share personal information (such as your name, address or school) without adult permission

If someone you don’t know contacts you online, tell an adult straight away

If anything online makes you feel uncomfortable, stop, close the screen and get help

    πŸ›‘οΈ Getting Help Online

If you are worried about something that has happened online, or about someone’s behaviour towards you, help is always available.

You can also report concerns online using the CEOP (Child Exploitation and Online Protection) reporting service.

(This can be done with the support of a trusted adult.)

πŸ‘¨‍πŸ‘©‍πŸ‘§ Online Safety – Information for Parents and Carers

We work closely with pupils to help them understand how to stay safe online and how to seek help if they are worried about anything they experience on the internet.

We strongly encourage parents and carers to talk regularly with children about their online activity and to explore online safety resources together.

If you have any concerns about your child’s online safety, please contact the school — we are always happy to help.
