Week 6

⛪ A Day of Celebration & Reflection

We kicked off the week with a beautiful celebration at the church. It was a deeply moving time as the children spent the day reflecting on their years at our school, sharing fond memories, and looking forward to the future. They took part in thoughtful craft activities themed around their personal journeys and spent time reflecting on the comfort of knowing that God will always be with them as they embark on this next chapter.

Of course, a celebration isn't complete without some treats! The children thoroughly enjoyed a delicious Domino's pizza lunch, topped off with refreshing ice pops to keep everyone cool.

After an emotional and reflective afternoon, it was time to let loose! We ended the afternoon in the best way possible: an epic, school-wide water fight. There was non-stop laughter, fantastic team spirit, and a lot of water. It was the perfect way to celebrate the hard work of our amazing pupils and cool down after a busy term.

Today, we celebrated our latest Sanction-Free Treat! The children who always follow our school rules and display our values enjoyed a well-deserved, sun-drenched water fight this afternoon.

🏆 Girl Power! Defeating Stereotypes in PSHE

In PSHE this week, our children have been exploring the concept of stereotypes, discussing how making assumptions about people can be both unkind and untrue.

To put one very common stereotype to the test—the idea that "boys are stronger than girls"—we headed outside for an epic, high-stakes tug-of-war!

With determination, teamwork, and some serious muscle, the girls absolutely blew the boys out of the water, securing a legendary 4-0 victory! It was a fantastic (and incredibly fun) way to prove that we should never underestimate anyone based on a stereotype.

Huge congratulations to our reigning champions—pure girl power in action! 💪✨

✨ Celebrating Our Wonderful Year 6 Leavers! ✨

This week, our Year 6 pupils came together to mark the end of their primary school journey with a fantastic leavers party. It was a wonderful milestone celebration filled with delicious food, non-stop dancing, and lots of laughter. The children thoroughly enjoyed celebrating everything they have achieved together, making memories that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. 💃🕺

The singing didn't stop on the dance floor, either! We even managed some impromptu practice of our upcoming leavers songs ahead of Monday morning's service—including, of course, another brilliant rendition of 'Bad'! 🎤🎶

We would like to extend a huge and heartfelt thank you to our incredible PTFA. Thanks to their immense generosity, the entire evening was fully funded, allowing the children to celebrate in style. We are incredibly grateful for their continued support.

What a lovely evening for a truly special group of children. We are so proud of you, Year 6!
