This week, the children enjoyed visiting church for Creative Worship. They learned about the Blackpool Beach Mission and how Christians share with others. The children created postcards and enjoyed playing in the sand as part of the activities, helping them to imagine what it might be like to take part in a beach mission. It was a lovely opportunity to reflect, be creative, and learn together. Reverend Kathy gave them a candy cane each to remind us that the stripes are like God wrapping his love around us. When you turn the candy cane upside down it looks like a letter J. God sent Jesus to show us how much He loves us.
The children showed great creativity and perseverance while developing their cutting, joining, and designing skills. Great job, everyone!
Year 1 enjoyed a lovely visit to our local library this week with their Year 6 buddies. The older children supported the younger ones as they explored the wide range of books and shared stories together. It was wonderful to see the children reading side by side and helping one another to choose books.
Experiences like this help to build confidence, encourage a love of reading, and strengthen friendships across school. The children represented our school beautifully — well done, everyone! ⭐
