We have had a lovely end to our Spring 1 half term! We have finished writing our own versions of Juniper Jupiter and the children have made incredible progress with their writing! In maths we have been exploring the concept of fewer than, more than and equal to. The children thoroughly enjoyed making their own paintbrushes using natural materials and sticks, then using these to paint with. We have explored the story of The Great Race and learned about how the Chinese zodiac was created. We drew our own trophies for the winning animal. Valentine's Day has also been a topic of conversation, with the children talking about who is special to them. We did a lovely activity where the children passed a heart along the circle and told the person next to them why they are special.
