We have had another wonderfully busy week in Reception and the children have earned a well-deserved break for Easter! We had an amazing time at Blackpool Zoo on Monday. The children's behaviour was exemplary and the staff were so incredibly proud. The staff at the zoo even commented on Reception's fabulous listening and behaviour during the workshop. The children saw elephants, a giraffe, orangutans, sea lions, ring-tailed lemurs, a gorilla, lions and tigers - just to name a few! They were exhausted afterwards and we had a few nappers on the coach!

We have also been: 

• Finishing writing our Little Red Story.

• Exploring doubling numbers to 5 and linking this to odd and even numbers.

• Sewing with fabric by pulling the thread or wool through the fabric, over and under.

• Going on a listening walk and recreating sounds from nature.

What a busy week! Have a wonderful, blessed Easter and enjoy a rest and some family time together.
