This week has been lots of fun. We had a visit on Friday from an author - Stuart Reid. He was very funny and did an assembly all about his books and writing techniques. We really enjoyed it and didn't stop laughing! 

In English, we have continued practising our story song linked to The Storm Whale, and planned and wrote our first section - the opening octopus. On Friday it was creative writing day and we were able to draw and write whatever we wanted in our books! 

In maths we have been recapping our number bonds to 5, using the 5 speckled frogs song. We talked about what the frogs represented and used the sentence stem '5 is made of _ and _'. We also did some missing number calculations by guessing how many frogs were missing. 

We enjoyed making Father's Day cards and also had a creative worship session at church with Rev Cathy, all about kindess.
