Learning Snapshot

We have packed so much brilliant learning into another busy week! Our swimming group have already really impressed us in just their second week, showing fantastic effort, confidence and determination in the pool. In Art, we created colourful collages inspired by the work of Beatriz Milhazes, experimenting with shapes, patterns and layers to create our own eye-catching pieces. In Science, we began planning an investigation into how we could make the most insulated ear defenders, thinking carefully about which materials might be best at reducing sound. During French, we continued learning how to describe ourselves, focusing on how adjectives agree when describing hair and eye colour. 🇫🇷 In Music, we have been developing our performance of This Little Light of Mine even further by adding instruments alongside our singing — take a look at the video below! Year 4 have also absolutely blown the class staff away with their writing this week! During our shared write, the children have been creating a setting narrative, carefully building tension as danger begins to unfold. We have been especially impressed by the ambitious vocabulary they have chosen and the way they have used description to create atmosphere and suspense for the reader. The quality of their ideas has been fantastic, and they should all be incredibly proud of the writing they have produced. Take a look at some of the brilliant work from this week!
