    Learning Snapshot

Year 4 have produced lots more fantastic work this week and continue to impress us with the effort they are putting into everything they do! In English, the children have created some amazing pieces of writing, carefully including a range of grammar features such as similes, fronted adverbials and personification. Their vocabulary choices and descriptions have been brilliant, and it has been lovely to see how much confidence they are developing as writers. We have also been incredibly impressed with our Maths work this week. The children worked really hard on rounding numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1,000, before moving on to our next challenge — column addition with 4-digit numbers. In RE, we have been thinking deeply about values, our moral compass and the Golden Rule. The children shared some thoughtful ideas about how our values can help guide the choices we make and how we treat other people. We also celebrated European Day of Languages on Thursday! Our Year 4 focus language was Spanish, and we enjoyed a brilliant session learning the names of different body parts. We even managed to learn and sing “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” in Spanish! Another brilliant week full of learning, hard work and enthusiasm. Well done, Year 4!
