Snapshot of our learning this week

DT

This week we have been exploring stability in DT! We tried different balancing poses and discovered that a wider base can help something stay steady.

Then we made our own mini basketball hoops and tested how adding weight in different places affected the stability. Year 1 experimented with modelling dough to strengthen the base and tested whether our structures would stay standing. What fantastic practical learning and problem-solving!

Music

In music this week, we have been learning our 'Menu Song'. The children are loving this song which they will perform next week!
