Snapshot of our learning this week

Design and Technology

On Wednesday afternoon, Year 1 designed and made their own pencil pots. They thought about what would make a pot fun and appealing for a Year 1 pupil, then planned a wide, stable base to help it stand upright.

The children followed their designs, carefully cutting and joining the cardboard with masking tape. They added modelling dough to help stabilise their pots, then tested them with stationery inside. A lovely chance to put our designing, making and problem-solving skills into practice!
