Learning Snapshot

What another fantastic week of learning we've had in Year 4! We've been busy exploring, creating and putting our skills to the test across the curriculum! On Friday, we let our imaginations run wild during our creative writing session, producing some brilliant explorer and island-themed writing. It was wonderful to see the children using their creativity and ambitious vocabulary to bring their ideas to life! In Science, we were set an exciting mission to design and create our very own musical instruments, linking to our learning about sound. From water xylophones to box guitars, the children enjoyed investigating how different sounds can be made! In History, we completed a fantastic cross-curricular writing task, producing comparative reports exploring what life was like for children during the Tudor and Victorian periods compared to children's lives today. We were so impressed with the children's historical knowledge and writing skills! In PE, the excitement continued with our intra-house competitions as we enjoyed some brilliant games of dodgeball, demonstrating teamwork, determination and sportsmanship. Finally, we are most excited about the half-term break. We are definitely looking forward to a week off, and Miss Whaley says we have absolutely earned it! Well done, Year 4! Keep up the amazing effort!
