What a busy and enjoyable week we’ve had in Year 5! The children proudly completed their pop-up books this week and loved sharing them with their Reception buddies, who were delighted to listen to the stories. As part of our Design and Technology unit on mechanisms, the children explored how levers and sliders work. Designing and creating their own pop-up books gave them a real sense of purpose while developing important practical skills and creativity.

In science, the children made their own sun dials and miraculously, we experienced a few rays of sunlight on Friday, so the children were able to test them.  They reviewed their predictions and discussed the different time zones around the world.
