Week 5

Week 5

Our 'mouldy bread' science experiment came to a conclusion this week and the children recorded their results and explained reasons for them.  The majority of children found their wet bread went 'moudier' than the dry bread as there was more bacteria present.  They also noticed that 'cold bread' (bread stored in the fridge) didn't grow any mould!

In computing the children became party planners and were given a hypothetical budget so they could plan their party.  They used a spreadsheet to record the data and used formulae to calculate expenses.

Photorealism art was the focus in the art lesson this week.  The children created self portraits from photographs and chose their own medium to add colour.

Significant journey's were discussed in RE and the children are being encouraged to discuss this further at home as part of their Talk Token this week.
