Week One

Welcome back to school everyone.

We hope you are all ready for another fun packed term, here is what we have been doing in the first week back.

This week our SKAT's winner is

English

The new term brings, a new genre in English. The class is looking at Folk Tales, and what they mean.

This week the children have been learning about Brer Fox and Brer Rabbit. They have also read about Anansi and the turtle.

The children have enjoyed researching and learning about the different meanings in the folk tales, they have found out that Folk Tales always have a moral to the story.

Maths

In Maths this week, the class have finished their learning about decimals and started on Time. All the children have been having a great time.

Well done, keep up the good work.

History

We are learning about the Vikings this term. The children have been acting out their ideas and research about Viking Warriors.

The second picture shows how the Vikings would have sat in their long ships, how they would all row, with a look out Warrior at the helm.
