What a busy and exciting week to end a fantastic first term in Year 1!
In English, the children finished writing their instructions on how to trap a witch, proudly applying all the skills they have been learning this term.
We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas party on Tuesday afternoon, playing musical chairs and lots of other fun games. The excitement was topped off with a very special gift sent all the way from Santa! 🎅🎁
In History, we welcomed a special visitor, Mrs Gerrard, who came to talk to us about her childhood. The children loved asking thoughtful questions and discovering the differences between childhood in the past and today.
In Art, we explored lines and shapes and created self-portraits inspired by the abstract artist Paul Klee, producing some fantastic and colourful artwork.
What a brilliant way to end a great first term in Year 1 – we are so proud of everything the children have achieved! 🌟
