Week 6

A Busy Week in Year 3! ๐Ÿ

This week we have certainly been busy bees in Year 3!

We are incredibly proud to have completed our second shared write of the half term — an information text all about waterfalls. The children worked hard to include fascinating facts, clear structure and ambitious vocabulary. Their enthusiasm and focus throughout the writing process has been fantastic.

In Maths, we have started an exciting new unit of learning all about fractions. The children have already been exploring halves and thirds and are building their understanding using practical resources and visual models.

As part of our RE learning, we were lucky enough to welcome a special visitor into school. The children listened beautifully, asked thoughtful questions and showed great respect and curiosity throughout the session.

We also enjoyed a trip to the library, where the class had the opportunity to explore new books and develop their love of reading.

Amongst all of this, Miss Whaley has been incredibly impressed with Year 3’s behaviour and the progress they are making. The children are working extremely hard and their efforts are most certainly paying off.

We are all ready for a well-earned break next week — keep up the fantastic work, Year 3! ๐ŸŒŸ
