Week 3

What a busy and exciting week we’ve had in Year 6!

We were really pleased to find out who our new Pupil Voice Group Co-ordinators are – they will now represent us in each group across the school.

In English, we started writing our own diary entries based on the story Rose Blanche. We also practised using question tags in informal writing and learned how to use colons to introduce a list.

In Maths, we worked hard on addition and subtraction, as well as exploring the rules of divisibility.

In PE, we started a brand-new unit on cricket, which everyone really enjoyed!

In History, we learned about the different Victorian jobs that children had to do. Using real census information, we discovered what life was like for children in the past.

In Science, we looked at the Kingdom of Life and found out which living things belong to each group. We then chose an organism to research and uncovered some amazing facts to share with the class.
