Week 3

Year 5 have had a fun and busy week! In PE, a visiting cricket coach taught batting, bowling, and fielding skills, which the children enjoyed practicing through games. He will continue the weekly sessions until the end of the half term. In French, they learned body parts by designing their own monsters and writing imaginative descriptions. Maths took place outdoors, with activities focused on rounding numbers in practical, hands-on ways. However, the real highlight was meeting their Reception buddies during a stay-and-play session on Friday. They showed kindness and maturity, helping the younger children join in activities and feel welcome. They are already looking forward to their next visit!

Thank you for all your support in encouraging your children to complete their homework in the new Maths scrap books.  Nearly everyone in class received raffle tickets for completing their homework and reading at home - it really does make a difference.

Have a lovely weekend.
