We are on the official countdown to Christmas! This week has kicked off our festivities with the arrival of our elf. The children suggested names then we had a class vote to decide it's name. The winning name was Bubblegum and we talked about how voting is linked to democracy. We also decorated our Christmas tree and our role play area has transformed into a toy workshop. Our nativity rehearsals are in full swing and the children have been shining during our practices.
In maths we have been exploring shapes with 4 sides - squares and rectangles and in phonics we learned the sounds 'f' and 'ff'. We have also practised our cutting skills with knives and playdough and drew a map of our journey to the library.
