Our Learning this Week:

PSHE:
This week we explored what makes a good friend. The children had lots of thoughtful ideas and worked together to create their own “recipes for friendship” and even a “recipe for making up” when things go wrong. πŸ’›πŸŒˆ

DT:
This week we began our new unit on structures. The children explored what makes a structure stable and looked closely at different examples. They are very excited to discover what they will be designing and making over the coming weeks! πŸ—οΈβœ¨

English:
On Monday we had an exciting surprise – a letter from Tin Dog! 🐾 He told us he is stuck in the attic and needs our help to get out. The children wrote their own letters back to Tin Dog and came up with creative ideas for how the toys might rescue him. βœ¨πŸ“¬

Science:

This week in Science, we have been learning more about our amazing sense of smell. πŸ‘ƒπŸŒΈ

The children were set an exciting challenge – to smell different foods without being able to see them, and then try to match the scents to the correct foods.

πŸŒπŸ§„πŸ«πŸ§€πŸ―πŸ‹

We also discussed whether we liked each scent or not, sharing our different opinions and noticing that everyone’s sense of smell and preferences can be different. 🌟

It was a fun and hands-on way to explore our sense of smell!
