Week 6

This week in Year 3, we have been super busy and have had so much fun with our learning! Our main focus has been all about The Iron Man, and we’ve been working hard to design our very own Iron Man traps. First, we looked carefully at how to make our traps effective, thinking about what materials and mechanisms would actually catch the Iron Man. Then, we drew and labelled our designs before presenting them to the rest of the class. We loved sharing our ideas and practising our oracy skills by speaking clearly and confidently in front of everyone. Our classmates gave us feedback and we listened carefully so we could improve our designs even more. Next week, we’re going to use our plans to write our detailed trap explanations! Alongside all this, we’ve also been busy in maths, learning new strategies to solve problems, and in science, exploring forces and magnets. It’s been such an exciting week of creativity, teamwork and learning in Year 3!
