Thursday and Friday mornings were our Transition mornings into Year 6.
Blackpool Trip
Travelling to Blackpool to see the Circus at the Blackpool Tower. Not quite sure if Year 5 or Year 6 were more excited.
The whole group were seated in the circus area. The views were amazing, the group were very lucky. The show consisted of a lady swinging in chains from the ceiling. The Ringmaster and his assistant. There was a female performer that juggled with her feet whilst laying on her back. The motorbikes in a metal cage were mesmerising, and the fact that there were 3 bikes in the cage at once, was a little worrying. At the end of the circus show, there was a water and laser show.
When the show finished, we all walked out of the circus area, out onto the street and then back up a terrific amount of steps to be able to sit in the balcony area of the ballroom. There was an afternoon tea dance in progress, and we were treated to various people dancing different dances. We saw Tango, Foxtrot and classical American Smooth.
After lunch we walked across the road and the Tram tracks to get to the beach. The children were allowed to play cricket, rounders or make patterns and dig in the sand.
On the way back on the coach, the children were very tired and some fell asleep, whilst others were singing different songs.
It was a fantastic day and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone concerned.
