Week 1

We have loved setting in to our new class this week with Miss Whaley, Mrs Hoyle, Mrs Wilton and Mrs Jacques! We have shown all of the staff how hard we can work and how amazing we are. Take a look at our new classroom!

Star of the Week

This week's Star of the Week is Arlo-Drae for always giving 110% effort in absolutely everything that he does! Well done!

Maths

This week in Maths we have been working on Place Value within 10. We have been working hard to sort objects by shape and colour. On Thursday and Friday we learnt how to represent numbers using concrete resources such as ten frames and cubes.

English

This week in English we have started our Ready to Write unit. We have been practising our letter formation using our handwriting rhymes to help us build on to sentences next week.

Science

On Friday we had our first science lesson. We started our new topic of Animals including Humans. We worked together to identify different animals on picture cards and then completed a matching activity where we practised our cutting skills!

PE

On Monday we had our first PE lesson with Mrs Wilton and on Thursday we had our first PE lesson with Miss Whaley.

We absolutely loved our first week of PE lessons, being active and improving our skills!
