Week five

Our Star of the Week in Year 3

Lilly-Mai

Lilly-Mai is our star of the week! She has blown me away this week with her effort in class. She has had consistently positive days each day because she has been mindful of others and how she treats them. Lilly-Mai has been kind, considerate and patient with her friends and others around school. Many adults have commented on how impressed they are with Lilly-Mai this week, so well done and please keep it up!

Geography

During their geography lessons, Year 3 have been discovering and discussing all the ways in which countries react when a earthquake hits. They discussed how the wealth of a country may affect the quality of buildings and access to search and rescue teams. Year 3 worked in small groups and presented their ideas to the rest of the class.

Showcase Afternoon

Wow, Thursday was our showcase afternoon - where we invited our parents and carers to come in to see our work so far in Year 3.

Lots of children was so proud of their work, and enjoyed showing their work and books to everyone.

Well done to you all

Christmas cards for The Care Home

We were asked to make cards for the local care home. So Friday afternoon, we made them with lots of different media, each one of the cards were unique.

P.E. - Basketball

This week in P.E., we have been practising basketball and how to hold, throw and catch the ball whilst playing.

We have had great fun, as you can see.

Poetry Book winners

Some of Year 3 have been chosen to have their poetry published in a book.

They came to the front of the class and shared their poems with us all.

Well done.
