Week One

RE - We began our new RE unit on places of worship by using purple mash to create a presentation of places of worship around the world.

Maths

In Maths this week we have been concentrating on division. The children found it difficult at first, but then everything clicked into place. Now they are wizards.

Great work everyone, keep going.

English

The children have started reading the book 'The Mousehole Cat.'

All the class has worked their socks off this week.

They have blown Mr Walmsley away with their descriptive words for the storm in the book.

Well done to you all, keep up the good work!

Guided Reading

The class will be reading 'How to train your dragon' in Guided Reading. We will also be reading the book in our Stop and Read session.

Everyone seems to be enjoying the book, and find it great fun to listen to Mr Walmsley reading the story, with all of his quirky sound effects and character voices.

Topic - Geography

Year 4 are studying -

Beyond the Magic Kingdom:

What is the Sunshine State really like?

Mr Walmsley gave the children a treat on Friday, by contacting his friends in America whilst they were in the Magic Kingdom, this gave the children the opportunity to ask questions and see for themselves what it is like.
