Week 5

Star of the Week

Theo has won the star award this week for his enthusiasm in class. He has shown he is ready for learning at the beginning of each lesson by being in his ‘ready position’ with an organised workspace. Theo has been very motivated this week and eager to begin his work each day. Well done Theo!

Athletics Competition 

Year 3 and 4 attended an athletics competition last night at Darwen Vale High School. The children had the chance to participate in many different track and field events such as relays, hurdle relays, long jump and javelin throws. We had lots of fun and the teachers at Darwen Vale commented on the children’s great sportsmanship and politeness. Great work Year 3 and 4!

Achievements 

Rithika has been spotted showing great compassion towards other this week and Mila has won the handwriting award! 

Science

Year 3 have been learning about sun safety and how we can protect ourselves from UV light. The class enjoyed making posters and presenting them to their peers. They have also been exploring how light travels. The class have been investigating how the size of a shadow changes, as the light source is moved further away. 

TT Rockstars 

Flora has won the TT Rockstars award this week for the most time played, fantastic effort!
