Maths - square and cube numbers

English - group sculptures

This week in Year 6, we have been learning about square and cube numbers in Maths. We used counters and small cubes to explore which numbers are square and cube.

In English, we have nearly finished reading our first novel: Running Wild by Michael Morpurgo. We discussed the main themes of the novel and worked in groups to create group sculptures to represent them. We then discussed which theme was the most important to the story and explained our reasoning.
