Week 4

This week, the children really enjoyed going to the panto on Wednesday at the Civic in Oswaldtwistle. Thank you to the PTFA for funding the tickets and making this trip possible!

In Geography, we have been learning about National Parks this half term. This week, we explored why and how National Parks welcome visitors. The children worked in pairs to research different National Parks and created leaflets to encourage people to visit and persuade them to take part in 'must do' activities which showcase the natural beauty and cultural heritage of each Park. Benjamin did a fantastic job with his leaflet; check it out below!

In English, this week, we started a new unit where we will be learning about and eventually write a hybrid text. We discussed different non-fiction text types in groups and tried to identify the purpose and audience of each text type. We also practised our oracy skills to practise becoming more skilled communicators. Keep an eye out for more of our English work in the coming weeks.
