Welcome back!
We hope you have had a relaxing break during the half term holidays.
We are incredibly proud of how the children have returned to school ready and eager to learn.
Design Technology - Making a dessert that contains vegetables.
This week the children were so excited to welcome our visitor Carrie Ann from Cook Stars. She came to help the children with their Design Technology project. Previously, the children had been researching fruit and vegetable and exploring desserts that contain vegetables.
The dessert that they decided to make was carrot and courgette buns! The children were keen to get going and carefully demonstrated a range of baking skills including cracking the eggs to grating the carrots and courgettes!
After the session, when all the cakes had all been eaten (yum!), the children evaluated their baking and wrote about if they liked their buns or not and explained their reasons why. They even thought about how they could improve next time and they explained any problems they came across and how they overcame them.
