Week 6

What we've been up to this week...

Our very last week together in Year 3 has come to an end!

We have enjoyed a lovely last week together with lots packed in!

We completed our Design Technology project where the children learned all about pneumatics! They explored pneumatic systems then designed and made their own pneumatic toy. They shared their toys with Year 2, explaining how they work, the different components and gave a demonstration. To end our learning about pneumatic toys, the children had a toy afternoon on Thursday. They discussed the components their toys have and then played with them together.

We finished our English unit of Traditional poetry with the children performing a verse from The Spider and the Fly in pairs.

We used our outdoor learning sessions to explore measuring and comparing capacity.

On Monday we watched an AMAZING production by Year 6, titled The Pirates of the Currybean. They were incredible and the whole school thoroughly enjoyed it.

We finished our geography learning on megacities by exploring the advantages and disadvantages of living in a megacity.

Thank you for a wonderful year! I have really enjoyed teaching Year 3 this year and will miss my little lovelies as they move to Year 4!
