We were delighted to welcome Bishop Philip into our school today. He led us in a beautiful act of worship all about thankfulness – a lovely moment to pause and reflect together. The children were fascinated to hear him speak about what a bishop actually does, and what they wear (spoiler alert: it's more than just a pointy hat!). There may even have been a fashion moment... Miss Tindall and Bishop Philip accidentally coordinated outfits for the occasion. After worship, Bishop Philip visited classes across the school for a Q&A session. He was full of praise for their oracy skills and thoughtful questions. One, in particular, stood out: “If you could bring one person back from the Bible to have tea with, who would it be – and why?” Bishop Philip said it was the best question he’s ever been asked! What a blessing it was to have him with us today – a joyful, thoughtful and inspiring visit for staff and pupils alike. Thank you Bishop Philip and Reverend Rebecca for your time.
