In English the children have been writing their survival stories based on our text, 'Running Wild'. They have made a great start and have been using adventurous vocabulary to enhance their story.
In maths we've used concrete resources to secure our learning of square and cube numbers.
In science we have been investigating microorganisms this week and the children have set up their own experiments to investigate the conditions that cause mould to grow on bread. They have identified controlled variables and will observe and collect data over the course of the week. Looks like we are going to have a classroom full of mouldy bread!
The children thoroughly enjoyed creative worship on Thursday and created some lovely Harvest cards. The cards will be added to the harvest packs which will be distributed throughout the community.
